TA Celebrates the Arts on May 25

TA’s Arts department is coming together for its annual celebration of the arts on May 25. The Arts Exposition will feature student artwork, music, and performances from the visual arts to the culinary arts, from design technology to chorus and instrumental music. Doors open at 5:30 p.m. with delicious hors d’oeuvres from the Meal Planning and Preparation class and an art show featuring student work from the Expressive Drawing and Printmaking course, Ceramics, and the middle school arts elective.

The students’ show will feature prints and drawings using techniques such as monotype, monoprint, etchings, and mixed media. Ceramics students will present their hand-built and wheel-thrown pieces, and middle school art classes will showcase still life drawings and mixed media portraits. Design Technology students will show off their woodworking and jewelry making projects, as well as designs for this year’s Timber Framing project.

Our talented student musicians will perform in the Martha Jane Rich Theater to close the evening. The concert features both classic and contemporary music, with songs from the middle school chorus, TA’s stage band, and this semester’s instrumental music students. Join us for a fun evening immersed in the arts and a celebration of student talent.
