A young and enthusiastic middle school cross-country team had a terrific season, culminating with some stalwart performances at the middle school state championship meet in St. Albans on Sunday, October 26th.
Emelyn Leitao ’31 was the top finisher among the girls, setting a new school record on that course, finishing in 13:02, and earning a medal for a top-15 finish among 7th-graders. She was followed by TES 5th-grader Ada Meyer, whose time of 13:57 placed her second among all 5th-graders in the state. TES 6th-grader Molly Cushman was our third-place finisher in 14:27, followed by Elly Emery ’31 (15:42), TES 5th-grader Fiona Jaskiewicz in 16:08 and TES 6th-grader Arlie Sansom in 18:07.
