Alpine Ski Team Heads Into Postseason With Strong Roster

The Thetford Academy Ski Team has just completed its regular season and is heading into the postseason with a strong boys’ roster. Following the graduation of nine talented seniors last year, a strong incoming freshman class and several returning underclassmen have stepped up to fill the gap.

Our two seniors, Sophia Harvey and Elijah Renner, are poised for strong postseason performances. Other notable competitors this year include juniors Tanner Hardy and Ben Nalette, sophomores Calvin Hughes and Thomas Martin, and freshmen Asa Williams, Micah Mahood, and Quinton Smith. Both Asa and Micah have consistently finished in or near the top 10 this season and are showing steady improvement and faster times with every race.

The team will compete in the Southern Vermont District Championship at Bromley on February 10, followed by the State Championship at Burke on March 2 and 3. Additionally, the team will race under the lights at Storrs Hill on Monday, February 16 at 5:30 p.m. for the Hometown Flannel Classic. Admission is free and the concession stand will be open.

Please come out and cheer on the team!
