Home | News | New Scoreboards Light Up Panther Athletics

On the list of what’s new this school year, we can add scoreboards on the lower fields! Two scoreboards were installed this summer in strategic locations and will be used in the fall season for soccer and cross country and in the spring season for softball and baseball. The scoreboards are big, modern, and beautiful and help complete our outdoor athletics campus.

This project has been a long time coming and was a community effort to make it a reality. The Jack and Dorothy Byrne Foundation contributed $11,000 toward the fundraising. Generous panther fans also donated to the cause, and last year’s graduating seniors (2026) made a class gift. The baseball and softball teams were the lead fundraisers.

We worked with local contractors to install the scoreboards into the thick ledge on our campus and wire them up – thank you, Northwoods Excavating, Whitcomb Welding, and Fifield Electric!

An additional scoreboard shout out: Thanks goes to volunteer engineer and tinkerer extraordinaire Leif LaWhite, we also have the solar panel working smoothly to power the scoreboard on the upper field.
