Head of School Weekly Email: It’s Showtime!

Dear TA Families,

We are all excited for this weekend’s performances of Radium Girls. Almost 20% of our high school students are a part of the play as cast, crew, and other roles. With over 30 students on the Fall Play roster plus others who are involved on their own time, the participation numbers are sky high – and the (almost) showtime energy on campus is palpable! We hope to see many of you at one of the shows this weekend – four performances to choose from. More info here.

Here are two community partner events we are happy to help promote to our TA families:

  • The TA Alumni Associations hosts its annual Craft Bazaar on Saturday 11/18. More details here.
  • The Thetford Historical Society hosts its annual meeting and potluck on Sunday evening 11/19. Check out their website for more info.

And looking ahead to December …

  • TA invites our parents and the wider community to a session with Sgt. Jay Riggen of the Vermont State Police titled “Vermont Youth Substance Use: Trends and Impairment Recognition” on December 4, 6:30pm. Event contact person: Kara Toms, [email protected].

We will see everyone next week on Monday and Tuesday, before we break for the Thanksgiving Holiday. TA is in session 11/20-11/21. We are looking forward to our all-school Thanksgiving meal tradition during Power Hour on Tuesday.

Have a great weekend!

Carrie Brennan, Head of School

Update 11/20/23: Thank you to Dan Grossman for the wonderful set of photos of the evening performance on 11/18 (Gershwin cast) – available to the public for viewing and downloading: at mapleleafphotos.smugmug.com.
