Covid Cases:TA had 5 new cases of Covid on Monday, one on Tuesday and ZERO on Wednesday & Thursday. Thank you to students for masking this week & keeping our community healthy!! The Musical Theater Production class at TA will present the musical Hello, Dolly! on Friday and Saturday, May 20-21 at 7:00 pm at the MJR Theater, Thetford Academy. The Broadway classic, based on the story “The Matchmaker” by Thornton Wilder, follows the life of Dolly Levi, who says of herself, “Some people paint, some sew… I meddle!” Dolly (played by Cecilia Luce) sets her sights on the “well known half a millionaire” Horace Vandergelder of Yonkers, New York (played by Zach Nalette). Dear TA Families, We just wrapped up a festive week at school, with special activities, outfits, treats, conveyances, raffle prizes, appreciation cards, and more. We hope that every student enjoyed one (or many!) aspects of the week - it sure seemed that way on campus. Big thanks to the TA employees who coordinated our annual student appreciation week tradition this spring. It was a blast! Covid cases are Increasing: TA has 7 cases of Covid this week. Students should stay home and test if they are sick. Covid is causing minimal illness for some and causing more serious symptoms for others. This new subvariant is causing 1-2 weeks of fatigue in many adults. We still need to be careful. This is a guest post from the Operation Day's Work student leadership team: Charlotte Reimanis '23, Cecilia Luce '24, Mary Bosco '24, Mack Briglin '22, and Annie Hesser '24. A tradition of over a decade at Thetford Academy, ODW (Operation Day’s Work) resumed on May 4th, 2022, after a two year pause due to the pandemic. Years ago, TA students were inspired to co-found ODW USA by the established ODW initiative in Norway where children raise millions each year for youth around the world.
