TA welcomes Amy Amell to the school's advancement team in the role of Advancement and Alumni Engagement Associate. In her new position, Amy supports the school's advancement efforts including development, communications, and community and alumni relations. TA looks forward to welcoming parents and guardians to campus for its annual Back to School Night on Thursday, September 1. The evening event will take place from 5:45-7:30 p.m. Back to School Night is an opportunity to meet teachers, visit classrooms, and learn more about the curriculum and classroom expectations. Parents are invited to arrive as early as 5:45 p.m. to check in, visit the informational tables, and meet school staff on the quad. The formal schedule will start at 6:00 p.m. with advisory meetings. Thetford Academy’s campus sprang to life on Thursday, August 18, as faculty and staff returned to campus for back to school in-service. Returning staff warmly welcomed TA’s 14 new staff members before settling down to breakfast from the Panther Cafe. A slideshow of photos in the background highlighted the staff's many summer adventures: hiking, camping, traveling, good food, and more. Over three days, our dedicated faculty and staff dug in to prepare for the upcoming year. It's summer harvest season in the school garden and students in TA's Garden Camp were there to help. Open to rising 7-9th graders from Thetford and surrounding towns, eight enthusiastic campers and two student interns joined the school's first-ever garden camp this August. Campers participated in fun, garden-based activities and games around TA's campus and community, kicking off the week with team building and a field trip to pick blueberries at Cedar Circle Farm in East Thetford.
