On Friday, September 22, a beautifully sunny first day of autumn, Thetford Academy students and staff headed out to six regional peaks for a day of hiking. We had perfect conditions for the 45th Frederick Torrey Mountain Day. For the first time since September 2019, the pandemic (with its many limitations and accompanying bus shortages) was not in our way, and we were able to return to the tradition of each grade heading out to climb its ‘own’ mountain.

Class of 2024 – Moosilauke

Class of 2025 – Ascutney

Class of 2026 – Smarts

Class of 2027 – Cardigan

Class of 2028 – Black

Class of 2029 – Cube
