Thetford Academy Launches Alumni Achievement Award, Nominations Now Open

Thetford Academy’s Board of Trustees has announced a new Alumni Achievement Award to recognize the important contributions the school’s alumni have made – and continue to make – in their communities and the world. Founded in 1819, Thetford Academy is Vermont’s oldest secondary school and has more than 2,500 living alumni.

“For over 200 years, Thetford Academy has encouraged students to reach their highest potential and use their strengths to make a difference in their communities,” said Head of School Carrie Brennan. “We are always proud to see the many incredible ways our alumni excel and contribute after graduation.”

Each year, the Alumni Achievement Award will recognize a member of the Thetford Academy alumni community who has demonstrated exceptional professional success, leadership, community service, and/or commitment to the Academy’s values of excellence, commitment, cooperation, caring, and diversity.

Nominations for the award can be submitted from now until April 30, 2026 and the first recipient will be announced at Thetford Academy’s graduation ceremony on June 12. Learn more about nomination requirements: link.
