The Mountain School, a semester program for high school juniors in Vermont, will be hosting a virtual information session for TA sophomores on Jan. 27, 2021 from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. The event link will be updated with Zoom information in the school calendar on the "TA Today" page before the event. Eleven students from Thetford Academy are featured in the Alliance for Visual Art Gallery's (AVA) 13th Annual Best of the Upper Valley High School Exhibition. The show will run from Friday, January 22 through Friday, February 26, 2021. This year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the show has gone entirely virtual and winners will be chosen by the public. Students in TA's Advanced Art class spent the first quarter of the fall semester honing their skills both technically and conceptually. They also participated in The Memory Project's Portrait Program, creating portraits of children in Venezuela to serve as memories of their lived experience. This quarter, students focused their ideas and techniques on following the thread of an idea, a "sustained investigation" of a theme or concept.
