Dear TA Families, Today was our first of two TA Roundtable Days this spring. Roundtable Days are one of a handful of days throughout the school year when we pause our normal routines to make time for special schoolwide activities that build and celebrate community - in this case with a focus on reflection, growth, our portfolios, and TA’s transferable skills. Students in 10th and 12th grades led roundtable presentations of their portfolios, with 9th and 11th graders as peer audiences. The 8th graders prepped for their Montreal trip and explored vernal pools in the TA woods, and the 7th graders did...

Dear TA Families, Signs of spring were in the air this week, with daffodil shoots pushing up in warmer spots around campus, more students eating lunch outside, and a new season of sports getting underway. The greenhouse is brimming with seedlings, as the horticulture classes prepare for spring planting in the garden. At the same time, what we thought would be a pretty routine week, focused on the transitions of wrapping up the academic quarter, became something else entirely with rumors of a possible school shooting on Monday evening. Our sense of safety and community were deeply challenged. As I communicated in...

Dear TA Families, Shakespeare's famous line - 'All the world's a stage' - comes to mind this week, as students stepped into the limelight in a variety of venues to share their learning and creativity with community audiences. Senior Roundtables BeginAndy MacNeil '26 kicked off the spring season of seniors taking the stage to present their portfolios today. Andy volunteered to do his senior roundtable with a bigger audience than most students, by presenting in front of the entire TA faculty during inservice. What a courageous move - and a generous offer to support teacher learning. Thank you, Andy! The rest of...
