Thetford Academy's high school debate team had an exciting day at the Vermont State Tournament on Sunday. The event, briefly delayed due to the region's spring snowstorm, was hosted at St. Michael's College in Burlington, VT and featured seven different schools from across the region. The delay was just the first wrench thrown by the weather - another came on Sunday morning, when one of the team's senior members was stymied by slippery road conditions. Illnesses • We have several cases of PINK EYE or Conjunctivitis • We had 4 cases of viral pink eye & 6 cases of bacterial pink eye. Both are quite contagious. Viral pink eye can come from having a cold and then the virus moves to the eyes. It doesn't need antibiotic drops and is usually improving within 24-48 hours. • Bacterial pink eye is usually in both eyes with quite a bit of drainage and needs antibiotic drops/ointment. Mark your calendars for fun, family friendly event hosted by Maple Leaf Children's Center at Thetford Academy! On Sunday, May 19, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., Maple Leaf will host 5K and Kids Field Day on the Dan Grossman Woods Trail and Thetford Academy athletic fields. With a food truck, a raffle, fun kids activities, and a 5K, the event will have something for everyone.
