With basketball season in full swing, TA's administrators have been fielding a lot of questions about our winter sports guidance. Specifically, with Covid restrictions, how can spectators keep up with and cheer on their favorite Panther athletes? At this time, Thetford Academy is welcoming limited numbers of spectators into the Vaughan Alumni Gymnasium for home games. Each team member will be allowed up to four family members to attend each game. Guests must sign in upon arrival. Please also note that TA's 100% indoor masking policy will also apply and all players and spectators will be required to wear masks....

This week's Health Office update includes information about routine health expectations-not just Covid this week!   Routine School Immunizations Parents/Guardians of 7th grade students: The deadline for submitting immunization documentation for the tetanus (TDaP) booster is December 17, 2021. Nurse Ellen has been in contact with families of students who need this booster and/or have not yet submitted the documentation. On the first Tuesday of every month, TA faculty are invited to join the “Teaching and Learning Cafe,” hosted by school counselor and teaching and learning coordinator, Rebecca Walter. The informal event allows teachers from various backgrounds to share their perspectives and experiences–while gaining new ideas about strategies they may implement in their own practice.  This fall, teachers have explored the topics of thoughtful assessment, inquiry learning, and giving group tests. In 1996, a major renovation of TA's White Building created the now spacious and light-filled school library. Featuring large east-facing windows and expansive views of the Connecticut River Valley and New Hampshire’s mountains, the library’s central reading room, the adjoining learning lab, and the project room next door are a hub of activity for both students and staff.
