On Tuesday, April 27, 2021, Thetford Academy’s Counseling Office hosted an information session for rising juniors preparing to register for Fall 2021 courses. The event covers planning to make sure all graduation requirements are met, the ins and outs of the online course registration, and a question and answer session with students. We at TA are going have to learn how to share Scott Ellis. As many have heard by now, Scott was recently hired by the Aloha Foundation to be the director of the Ohana Family Camp, starting with this summer's season. This is a very exciting career move for Scott – it truly is his life-long dream job. Scott will retain his faculty position at Thetford Academy during the school year, and continue to teach TA's special interdisciplinary environmental studies and outdoor education course that he launched four years ago. Dear TA Families & Students, I am writing today with an update about our plan for the remainder of the school year. We will maintain the program that we have had in place starting March 1, with the combination of in-person classes, online learning, pod time, and remote classes on Wednesdays. We are now six weeks in with the current schedule and a lot is going well. Teachers and students are back in classes together and this has been a game changer for second semester.
