The Panthers are nearing the end of an exciting basketball season, with the playoffs in sight. The girls are wrapping up their regular season this Thursday with their senior celebration before their last home game vs. Harwood. TA will be honoring seniors Taylor West and Madi Mousley, as well as JV senior Shisi Dai. In the last two weeks, the girls have won every contest with the exception of a Valentine's Day defeat vs. Division II's Lake Region. On Monday, February 6, 2023, Thetford Academy celebrated its 204th birthday and its 80th annual Founders' Day. His idea commemorate the school's history was an opportunity to lift the spirits of the community and to celebrate TA's resilience through hard times. Many of the original traditions from that first Founders' Day remain in practice today, from the candle lighting ceremony to the many school wide competitions. Students still compete each year to earn the title "Founders' Day champion" and, of course,...

The girls 4 x 800 relay team, Ava Hayden '25, Ceci Luce '24, Sora Bolles '26 and Abby Egner '23, won the D-II title, and punched a ticket to the New England championships at the same time. Senior Jada Rich scored points in all four of the events in which she competed, winning...

The Challenge, launched in collaboration with the Impactree Foundation, is designed to inspire TA students to identify a key environmental or social problem they see and experience – and to try to solve it through technology. Impactree founder Ken Kurtzig is interested in student ideas that could help solve an environmental, social justice, or racial justice problem; a gender equity, LGBTQ+, or mental health problem – any problem that could be solved to make the world a better place. Students might develop an idea to solve...
