After six years at the helm of Panther athletics, Blendon Salls is stepping down from the AD role at Thetford Academy to pursue new career opportunities. Blendon’s deep knowledge and love of sports, along with his strong relationship-building skills, helped the TA athletic program stay strong and increase student participation. Blendon’s can-do attitude was a boon to the TA athletic programs and they thrived under his leadership. The following letter accompanied students' final report cards of the year, which were mailed home on June 22. In Vermont, it's not wise to assume the weather will cooperate. But when it delivers on a June evening, it's spectacular - especially on Thetford Hill. On Friday, June 10, 2022, as Thetford Academy graduates and their families gathered to celebrate, the skies were clear, the weather warm, and TA's iconic view provided the perfect backdrop for the Class of 2022's big day. Every year on Class Day, Thetford Academy celebrates student accomplishments with a slate of awards and scholarships. For students in grades 9-11, the awards include each academic department's recognition of outstanding student performance, junior college awards, community service awards, and the "Rock the Boat Award" - given from one student to another in celebration of their individuality.
