Long-time teacher Joe Deffner was honored with the 2023 Peters Family Dedicated Employee Award at the end-of-year ceremonies in June. Thetford Academy's official school calendar for 2023-24 is now complete, with half days and other key activities added. TA families will receive a copy in the back-to-school packet being mailed out this week. Registration is now open for Thetford Academy's fall athletics and activities! We're gearing up for another great year in Panther athletics and if your student hasn't registered yet - don't worry - there is still time. Registrations will remain open until August 10th, 2023. TA will use the TeamSnap app again this year as our main communication platform for coaches and athletes. Games will continue to be posted on the school calendar, but practices, logistics, photos, and coach communications will be now posted in TeamSnap. This summer, Tuesdays at TA will be full of fun for everyone! TA's traditional Tuesday Fun Runs have already begun (as of June 20), inviting all athletes and community members to participate in a 5K (or half-course) fun run on the Dan Grossman Woods Trail. Hosted by TA coaches Joe Deffner and Emily Silver, summer Tuesday Fun Runs are a great way to get outside and get active with family and community. Runs start at 6 p.m. each week. The Thetford Outdoor Program (TOP) at TA doesn't follow a school-year schedule - to the contrary, one of it's "TOP" seasons is summer, when the summer outdoor leadership programs kick off. This year, TOP has a full slate of outdoor adventures planned for students, with something for everyone and access points for all ability levels.
