The Class of 2012 will be gathering THIS Saturday, August 20th at the Union Village Dam in Thetford to celebrate their 10th Reunion–if this is your class, don't forget to RSVP to Keri Whitman at [email protected]. It's summer harvest season in the school garden and students in TA's Garden Camp were there to help. Open to rising 7-9th graders from Thetford and surrounding towns, eight enthusiastic campers and two student interns joined the school's first-ever garden camp this August. Campers participated in fun, garden-based activities and games around TA's campus and community, kicking off the week with team building and a field trip to pick blueberries at Cedar Circle Farm in East Thetford. On Saturday, TA was excited to welcome members of the Class of 2015 to campus for a belated celebration of their five year reunion. The small (but mighty) group of seven traveled from near and far to gather at TA's timber framed outdoor classroom. Toria Isquith, who was instrumental in organizing the event shared, "Most of us have been in school together since kindergarten! We left Thetford Elementary and walked over the bridge to TA." On Sunday, August 21, 2022, Thetford Academy will host two "back to school" events for students and families. At 4 p.m., TA invites students new to TA and their families to campus for an informal welcome event. The New Student Welcome is designed to give incoming TA students an opportunity to familiarize themselves with campus before the first day of school. With the support of TA staff and student ambassadors, new students are invited to walk their schedules, locate and test out their lockers, and ask any questions they have about being a student at Thetford Academy.
