TA News

On a daily basis in TA classrooms, faculty engage and inspire students with their deep knowledge and passion in specific academic disciplines. These are the kinds of big-picture skills students are challenged to use throughout their academic experiences - and in all areas of life. The Vermont Agency of Education refers to these as ‘transferable skills.’ This school year, we are piloting our newly-adopted set of Thetford...

Intentionally building a strong and caring community has long been a TA tradition. Events like Mountain Day and Founders' Day, school-wide assemblies, and community meals create important connections and provide a time and space for sharing experiences. This year, TA is expanding on these foundational events with monthly "Community Day" programming designed to create strong, positive relationships that support students throughout and beyond their time at TA. On Wednesday, September 1, we had our first Community Day event as part of our launch of the new school year. Students started the day in advisory with an activity about TA's transferable...

Len's impact on the TA community spanned a quarter century. He joined the faculty at TA in...

TA's VEX Robotics team 4886 is gearing up for the launch of its 2021-2022 season. With a new dedicated space in the former "Choral Mansion"–now outfitted with workbenches, robot parts, and a practice field–4886 is excited to take on this year's VEX challenge, VEX VRC Tipping Point.
