Building a Woodshed

By Alex Emerson

I got the idea to build a woodshed for the yurt when I was piling wood onto the cold wet ground last fall. I thought it would be great to actually have something to store and keep the wood dry at our new outdoor classroom. I knew that this resource would be very useful for many years to come.

I hope you enjoy this video I made about building the woodshed.

I learned a lot about carpentry during this project.  I have been doing these types of projects for a long time, but never all by myself. I had to find my own plans and how much lumber, and materials I needed.  It was fun to build something all by myself. I had to take ownership of the project. Overall I had a lot of fun and am very proud of what I have accomplished.
