Join TA this summer for music, fun, and food! Thetford Academy is excited to announce a reprisal of our summer concert series, “Schoolhouse Rocks" for a second season. The series opens with the Burlington, VT based bluegrass band "Good Gravy" on Sunday, June 23 at 6 p.m. The trio (Joe Agnello, Jeff Wilson, and Jack Vignone) pay homage to bluegrass legends such as Tony Rice, Norman Blake, and Doc Watson. It's time to celebrate! This week, TA's Class of 2024 is winding down their high school career with full days of classes before final exams. On Sunday, June 9, the class will commence celebrating their achievements with Thetford Academy's annual baccalaureate ceremony, hosted in the Martha Jane Rich Theater. The ceremony will include speeches from students Cecilia Luce, Iris Morand, and Mary Bosco, with a musical presentation from Saylor Billiau. Guest post by Track and Field coach Joel Breakstone The TA track and field teams had great performances at the Division 3 State Championships in Fair Haven on May 30. The girls finished third, just behind Woodstock and White River, and the boys were state champions. It's the fifth championship in a row for the boys and their 12th title since 2004.  Many TA athletes won individual championships. Ava Hayden swept the three distance events (800, 1500, and 3000). Dear TA Families, So much is happening as we come roaring into the final stretch of the school year. Here are a few features from this past week - it might have been a short one, but it was packed with activity! Accolades in the Arts On Wednesday evening the arts department hosted the annual Spring Concert & Arts Expo in Anderson Hall with exhibits and performances from all of the arts disciplines. The Panthers have had a great ball season this year, with both the softball and baseball teams shining on the diamond. Panthers baseball is wrapping up its regular season at home tonight (vs. North Country), sending off lone senior Justin Robinson. The team is 10-5 for the season after turning around a three loss streak on Tuesday with their 12-9 win vs. Spaulding on Tuesday.
